Another black president after the events of "Deep Impact"??

Have we learned nothing from the tragic events of 1998, when, under the watch of President Morgan Freeman this nation was plunged into chaos, and hundreds of millions died at the hands of the deadly Wolf-Beiderman space rock. We can't deny the facts, people. All we get by electing an African-American is Texas-size space particles crashing into the earth's surface causing major tsunamis killing 6.6 billion people.
It obviously wasn't President Freeman's fault. However, if history is any indicator, a vote for Barack Obama in 2008 is essentially a vote for the complete and total obliteration of the human race.
Remember the slogan of former President Chris Rock's administration : "The only thing white is the house". President Rock's laissez-faire attitude certainly broke down the stuffiness associated with decorum of the White House, but it not only made a mockery of the office at home, but made the United States look like a joke abroad.

You tell me.

closure of Koko Crater Stairs?

I found this in my email. There is a protest at 5pm this afternoon at the base of the trail.

A firing range takes precedence over a hiking trail? How many people hike and how many people shoot weapons? The two recreational sites have co-existed for so long.

This is crazy! The state is closing access to Koko Crater Stairs!!! What other access points are they going to close next?

Please pass this on and be at the protest!!! Grrrrr

Buffalo surfing canoe contest

Just heard from Mel that they are holding the surfing canoe portion of Buffs next weekend, so for all of you in the holding pattern you can relax. Swell is coming down today, but two more coming in for next week!
A hui ho!

resistance training

Good or not good ?

I am not convinced that the 'bungee cord' helps performance; rather, it forces you to use improper technique.
What do you think ?

Aaron Napoleon wins SUP contest @ 15-18ft Makaha.

The 1st annual Ku Ikaika Quiksilver Edition S.U.P contest held @ makaha was won by Aaron Napoleon today in perfect 15-18ft surf. Congrats Aaron, for more on this check out c4watreman.com.

kalalau, not sure

i want to buy a new or used OC-1/ OC-2 but i want an outside opinion on what make and model would be best suited for about a 15 miler and maybe a bag or 2 other than the max number of paddlers in the boat.

Oversize load flag ideas

I carry my outrigger on top of my Windstar and I have about 5' of overhang off the back. Right now I tie a red flag to the rudder assembly which is about 2 feet from the stern. My boat doesn't have any hardware aft of the rudder to tie onto. I saw a guy with a slipover sock w/red flag setup and was wondering if anybody knows where to get one. The sock slips over the stern and ties off on the rudder assembly. I haven't been pulled over yet, I just want to cover my bases.

Mahalo,

Tikimon

Obama or Hillary

Just wondering; in case you would design a new boat, which of the two names would be better:

Obama
or
Hillary ?

"Have you seen the new Obama ? How is Hillary riding in the surf ? No - I am still hanging on to that old McCain :( ...

No offense, but current canoe names are not very exciting.
