We have a OC-1 Division for this Hawaii Kai run. Beach Registration 7-9am near the bathhouse and 10am start in front of Marshall's. Entry fee includes jersey, awards, prizes and lunch. Come join the fun.

Now that there are more of the new Pueo on the water, what are paddler's thoughts and opinions in regards to the difference in feel from the previous version or other thoughts?

Hope to get updates by people in the know for the Tahiti Nui Vaa 2013.
I would love to rally as much support for the Kanaka Guys as possible, they deserve it! also i think updates would be lots of fun.
Just speaking for my self, but I am really rooting for our guys!

Wind Gods have been brutal this year. Now almost every race they show wind at first, blow all week and then die down just for race day. Then to be even more mean it picks right back up after the races. Don't come to Hawaii if u want to race a surfing race. All flat this year. Think I am going make a Facebook page "Hawaii Kai Run" and if the wind is up we all show up at blinker buoy at 4:45pm and race.

I have always been intrigued and a little obsessed with the history behind how clubs originally selected their team colors and logos.

As time goes on, I think we should try to document this history.

Was it as simple as the founder designing the shirts and picking the colors?
Were the colors picked because they didn;t want to be like ..... so went with ......
The founder/founders liked.....
Why the logo? What is the message behind the symbols that we might not know?
Was it done as a group or by one person?
