Pueo OC-1 for sale

Sorry for the intrusion. I just listed my Pueo in classifieds if anyone's interested. Thanks

Speed vs stability

We are from NH, and there are 6 of us that have OC 1's.
our question is: what is faster and most stable? our debate has two camps;
1. setting the ikos all the way in and all the way down causes less drag and is there for faster, although it does appear that the boat does not sit level in the water, which causes the paddler to have to adjust his seating to be level.
2. By setting the ikos higher on the ama levels the boat and there fore seats the paddler level, but does this cause more drag.
Thanks for any comments. Jay

Spectra Line

"...JP decided to go with stainless cables instead of the spectra line (im sure everyone is happy to hear that)"

The above was posted on the Ehukia thread. What's the story on Spectra line? I'm pretty sure my two year old Scorpius XM uses it. How often does it need to be changed out? How can you tell when it is getting ready to give out. With stainless cable you could see the individual threads in the cable were starting to break.

How to bring outrigger to AK??

Hello Everyone,

I am collecting all advice and comments on how to bring outrigger to Alaska. SUP has begun taking off here, but there is not an outrigger in site. I recently relocated to Seward, AK leaving my SOCAL outrigger team because of work, and would love to have an OC1 here! I don't think I can afford a brand new boat AND the shipping to get it here so any ideas are welcomed? Any team/person looking to sell an OC1 or know a way that I don't? Plus any ideas on boats and or equipment for cold weather paddling, they seem to get a long fine in Canada?

Thanks!

durability of an oc1

Aloha everyone, I am thinking about buying an OC1. I'm 6'3" 230lbs. I can swim a few miles, I'm just not a big fan of open ocean swimming, so durability is more important than weight. After all it's a lot cheaper for me to loose 5lbs than an OC1. Are there any brands that I want to steer clear of? Whats the best bang for the buck? Should I steae clear of used boats? How many seasons can you expect out of an OC1? Mahalo

Looking for an unlimited to rent for pailolo

We want to rent two. Farango@gmail.com or PM me here.

Last year we got 2nd in the race, we hopefully will serve your canoe well this year. I have a lot of experience with open class canoes.......relatively speaking.

Storm

I was looking at the results from the Molo-solo and several other large races and noticed that not one of the paddlers were paddling a Storm. Of course lots of XM's, XS's, Pueo's, new Pueo's, even a few Zyphers and others sprinkled in there. No one was racing a Storm. Made me wonder, this is suppose to be an amazing boat and one that personally I am very interested in. Yet no one is racing them. Why?

Opinions on New 22 buy Outrigger Connection

Interested on what you think of this oc2 compared to the huki, tempest and stingray.

Stingray vs Tempest OC2

I am looking to get an OC2 that is extremely good in flat waters and defends itself in the open ocean with middle size waves.
What is better for me? Take in consideration that this is my first ever oc2 and i can only choose from these two oc2.
