Wave Blade OC1 - opinions?

I'm eyeing a used Wave Blade OC1. Can't find much of anything written about it on the 'net. Any opinions or first-hand experiences? I'm 6'0", 180 lbs, and I don't race.

Buying New or used OC2

Interested the most in the Tiger Mahoe but open to other options. Looking for good prices and willing to ship it internationally. Good condition and SUPER fast in CALM and MODERATED waters.
Send me an email to theprolucas@gmail.com or make a response here. Must include model, prices, use, condition, weight and material.
Thanks, Lucas

roof rack saddle

I've been using straight rack pads for my canoe and am thinking of making the switch to saddles. I know nothing about them. Thule, Yakima, Malone, other ? My crossbars are fat, Im thinking some are incompatible.

what makes for a good OC1 seat?

I have been contemplating buying my own OC1. So far I have only paddled a club C-Lion and a friend's Hurricane. Both boats seem to offer rather uncomfortable seating especially when the boat is paddled for more than an hour at a time. As well, both these one person outrigger canoes seem to use a similar dense foam pad for a seat.

So, what is it about that foam that makes it so uncomfortable over time? And, what other options are there for seat pads? Are there certain makes of OC1 that, in your experience, offer comfortable seats or are they all a little hard on the toosh after a while?

Searching for Advice/Equipment for purchase of used OC1 in So-Cal

Aloha,
Living in San Diego, enjoying OC6 canoe paddling, open division/co with new team,Kapolioka'ehukai Outrigger Canoe Club, but want to get OC1, used, to develop skills and earn seat 6. I'm female, 5-7, 190lbs have about 10lbs of winter fluff which causes me to wonder where to start. Finding paddling with mens team is great workout but body needs to have more time in ocean for conditioning and SUP not the same. Any advice appreciated or deals to be made. Youth Ministry and US Navy spouse limits my disposable income.
Mahalo and blessings,
April

Thanks

Thanks...picked it up today. Love it already

chinese oc1 stingray

Hi, can anyone here offer some words of wisdom regarding a 2006 Outrigger Connection / Current Design OC1 Stingray that was built in china ? A local retailer near me has 5 boats that are new (still wrapped in plastic) and they offering them at a ridiculously low price . I have done a full visual inspection on them and they have no damage that i can see. Im thinking of getting one to have as a second boat, but wanted to see if could gather some info first. I have searched all over and cant seem to find any specs or opinions .Any info is very much appreciated !

Thanks.

Please recommend OC1 for me

I'm new to OC1 paddling - three months ago I took my wife's Naia Iki (by John Martin) out and now I'm hooked. I go out three-four times a week, sometimes more. I feel pretty confident on it and am flying the ama almost at will, and can now surf it out between the Mokuluas in Kailua Bay. Not an expert by any means (maybe an advanced beginner?). But my sense is that the Naia Iki is too small for me. John Martin says it's really for paddlers under 150 lbs. I am 6'0" and weigh 180 lbs.

New Seats

Aloha

I need to make a couple of seats for a club/training OC2 that I managed to pick up very cheap. It's a HYPR therefore not being manufactured anymore. Anyone tell me what the seats are actually made of please ? Many thanks. '
