Sorry to post this hear but I figured most people don't regularly go looking in classifieds for a 188lb 6 man canoe.

Steering blades often have strips of grip tape on the face of the blade. This is apparently to protect both the blade and the canoe. I can see how the tape might protect the paddle but wouldn't the abrasive tape do damage to the side of the canoe? I have seen quite a few of our club canoes with a worn patch right where the steersperson pokes.

What is everyones thaughts on the best paddle for OC-1 and how much shorter is prefered from your OC-6 paddle?

Just wondering if anyone has modified their rear plug on their storm to make it breathable like the more common plug and vent tube. original set up did leak even tightly screwed in so I added a second o ring to help leak stoppage. Also there is no leash attachment, I do use the front iako but looking for options. Someone mentioned one that can be glued on but long term not sure if I would trust my life with that.
Any help appreciated.

How do you guys strap down your spare paddles to the iako's? pics if you got em.

I'm making a new rudder for my c-lion. It's in flat water mostly. What would be the best shape and length? The blank is 12x7 with rudder post at front. I'm not a great wood worker so simple would be better =)

For those of you that have had a chance to use one - what are your impressions of the current version of ther Ozone Hurricane - and the construction quality? I'm potentially looking to purchase one.
Unfortunately, there is not alot of opportunities to surf where I live, but it can get rough at times.
