Any recommendations on a good video camera to use on a OC1. I got a GoPro but the fish eye doesn't do it justice out there in the surf. Any other ideas on a cheap camera to use?

I was wondering if anyone had some ideas about how to pad pvc canoe stands. I made some in the X form (1 inch pvc), and have been using pipe insulation, but it tends to split, spin around the pipe, and look messy. Any other suggestions to cover/pad the places where the canoe touches the stands?

I am trying to find some instructions and/or guidance as to how I can replace the cables on a Hurricane OC-1.
My friend broke his earlier this month and I am trying to help him get back on the water as soon as possible.
I know how to do them on Hukis and other canoes where the cable housing is visible but I am completely lost on the hurricane...

Any help and/or guidance is greatly appreciated!

Just wondering if anyone has had a chance to paddle a Torrent yet by Outrigger connection. It seems the Osprey was sort of a trimmed down Zypher (I have a Zypher and enjoy it in wind, in fact she did great this weekend at Maliko) but didn't get much push. Just wondering what the response to the Torrent is and how people have enjoyed or not enjoyed at this point.

I constantly read about guys and gals wanting to know about the best paddles. And then we get the same thing...Makana Alii, Broadreach, etc. I think whenever someone recommends a paddle they should also indicate the difficulty in getting one. I love my Makana,.,,.best ever Glad I knew someone who knew someone.. Tried to get a Broadreach for my one man...went on their site, sent emails...no resoponse, Same for someone trying to get a Makana.

I'm interested in buying an oc6, preferably a mirage or lightning but would be open to all offers. Looking in the So. Cal area but could pick up in NV or AZ. Please reply to oc6paddler@gmail.com , thanks !

There appears to be a shortage of used oc 1's in Canada. New paddlers returning from the Winter clinic interested in buying a used oc 1. If you are selling a boat or know of someone that is selling a boat please let me know.

I have an older Hurricane (not too old). The connection between the iakos and the ama is a bit loose.

I'm trying to get my OC-1 insured, but I'm being told that I need the HIN. I don't have of the sale paperwork because I got it used and I'm the 3rd/4th owner. Where do I have to look to find the HIN?? It's a 2001 Kaku Elua.

If anyone can help me with this, it would be great.

Wanted a used in good condition OC-1/OC-2/Surf Ski for use in Miami area for occasional weekend trips. If you know of a storage space for it, and/or would like to share usage, please let me know. Thank you very much in advance for any leads.
