OC2 Stingray

I want to change the seats on my OC2 stingray to a generic seat. The tie down slips and the seat moves in the factory condition. Does anyone know where i can get generic seats? Also I am short and my husband is tall but I can only steer from the rear. How can I do this without scooting up? It feels like when I scoot up all the weight is in the middle or front of the canoe. mahalo

OC-2 Purchase Dilemma

Thanks for all of your help and ideas.

Kialoa Teva Hoe

I was looking at a bunch of the molokai solo pictures, and i saw a bunch of paddlers with the kialoa teva hoe. I was wondering if its a good paddle, and is it comparable to a makana alii? It seems popular enough for me to try it or buy it. I currently have a kialoa vana (the much heavier wood version of the paddle), but will be selling it soon. Any additional info would be great.

Best flat water OC2

Hello, from U.K. what would be considered the best flat water OC2? It would be used on rivers and canals in U.K. the highest wave ever encountered would be the wash from a passing cruser !! Also what speed could one expect over say 2/3 miles with good club standard paddlers.Any sugestions would be very welcome.

Wanted OC1 in Southern Japan

I am currently living in Kochi, Shikoku, Japan and am seeking a great deal on a used OC1 or V1. Looking for something suitable for someone 6`3`` and 180 - 190 lbs. Anyone in Japan have anything? Please contact me.

Large blade area paddles.

What are paddles' experiences like with large blades (>10 inches wide)?
Has anyone had any injuries that they would attribute to using larger blades? Could the injury have been prevented with better technique?
Do you (or would you consider) use larger blades in long distance races?

I am 6ft 1in, 190lbs, and fairly strong. I'd primarily be using the paddle for OC6. I'm confident I could handle a 10.25in or so blade, but I'm looking for other paddlers' experiences before I buy one. I'm currently using a 9.5in hybrid, without any 'issues'. The 10.25in would also be a hybrid.

Fuze owners

OC connection users chime in here. I realize the fusion is pretty much a suring only boat, and that all OC boats are great in the bumps. The Osprey and zephyer are more all around boats. What about the Fuze? how does this boat surf? what about that flats? what could you compare this boat to?
