Looking for a quick analysis regarding the two boats. For example, what would you recommend for a 6' - 200lb paddler in small to medium bumps?

I am an experienced OC-6 paddler (12 plus years) and looking for a new OC-1. I weigh 140 lbs, height 5'6", inseam 30". Paddle mostly Lake Washington and a little bit at the Gorge... so mostly smooth or short and bumpy water (motorboat wakes). Would like to get imput on which OC-1 would serve me well given my weight and height. My old OC-1 is like an old Naia and at least 40 lbs... so anything will be better. Have not seen many comments from women paddlers out there....Thanks in advance for your advise.

i'm wondering why there hasn't been a push for plastic rotomolded oc1's. they're indestructible, and they'd be cheaper than what's out there...of course it wouldn't replace the racing boats that we use now; it wouldn't be worth racing, but who cares... that's not the point, it'll be great for those starting out, and for clubs to have around for beginners... that's the way the sport is evolving and there needs to be a way for people to break into it without shelling 3 grand. instead of taking business away from the existing oc1 buildiers, it'll expand it since it'll open up the market for a whole new demographic- whether that's good or not can be debated...

i've seen one online somewhere but no more... it'll be interesting to see if someone can come up with a good one for under a grand... think scupper or scrambler. any thoughts?

I`m shopping around to buy a new one-man and need some input on the new Holo Nui or Vantage made by Hyper. I paddle in lakes around Arizona so its typically flat water but will want to start racing in Southern California. How do these canoes perform in swells as well as flat water? Mahalo!

I'm cosidering buying a used canoe from someone in Brithish Columbia and I live in Toronto.

Can anyone provide any insight as to the best (most reliable and cheapest) way to get the boat from A to B.

Hi i have been riding a Hurricane the past few years and am wondering if the Pahoe or Pegasus are any faster . My main concern was digging in on larger bumps as the Hurricane tends to do . I know the Hurricane is fast and responsive but for a race such as Molikai what is the ideal boat out of these three considering the conditions Thanks

The weight engraved behind the left pedal on a Kaimana...is that the fully rigged weight or the hull weight...

Whats the best way to change the rudder cable ? Any secrets or easy ways to do it ? The plastic sheathing is frayed near the rudder ....
