My little brother and I just bought our first outrigger canoe. It's a John Martin oc-2. We just got it last week and have only been out three times total. Although is is my first outrigger I do have some paddling experiance with my standard canoe, also we both surf so we are familiar with the ocean.

I got a letter on my car yesterday. I'm not sure who to send this to. Obviously, this is going to suck if you park at Kaimana, like after a Hawaii Kai run.

There is a town meeting at Honolulu Hale, 530 S. King St, 3rd floor. You have to call to get your name on the list 768-3813. You can also email city council members.

Can someone send to others, like race organizers?

I was wondering if you could help me figure out something.
I've been paddling in an OC6 for 2 years now on the French atlantic coast, and sometimes trainings and even competitions get messy.
In this part of France, we do our best without skilled supervision, but we lack some insight.
The redondent issue :
Do you have a captain aboard every OC ? If so, is he the steerer ?
If not, how do you manage steering decisions like : race strategy, or urgent decisions (collision hazard, swell management ...)

Been doing some research into different off-water core training approaches recently and wondered if anyone had a view on a couple of things.

Has anyone seen or used this thing called a 'torsonator'? Looks like a standing, dynamic russian twist machine.

It looks like it could be a great abdominal core workout and maybe even provide some shoulder stability work too. Seems to bring in a lot more rotational movement to an ab workout which looks like it would be good for paddling.
