Valentine's day Kaimana run?

Check this out. Hawaii Kai to Kaimana can be dangerous when the wind kicks. This couple found that out the hard way. Got to stay tuned to conditions and limitations. Good thing they had a cell phone or they would have ended up on a Kauai Honeymoon. Or better yet Decker or Midway Is.

Sorry, I dont know how to post the link, but this is it, paste and stick.

How's this for a turm

I shot this at the Aussie National Sprint Titles last weekend.

This is one of the best turns i have ever seen, perfect timing, simple technique, not over powered.

And these are Senior Master Women

Newbie question - paddling crosswind

I usually paddle north to south in my work out through a westerly blowing wind. The intensity varies greatly. Today, blowing pretty good, small white caps. Anyway how do the all you handle paddling crosswind? Do you tuff it out having the chop and swells hit you sideways or do you use the current / swells progressing forward at a diagonal, i.e. zig zagging riding the swell for a bit then powering upwind to get back on course, repeat?

I need a big favor

I had intended doing the Kauai Relay this year but now i can't as i 'm paddling 300km across Bass Strait to Tasmania instead for the Crossing for Cancer.

My intended partner who has booked and paid his fight and Accom etc, now needs a new partner to replace me. Can someone help me out. I've tutored this paddler up until now and the bugger is only 6 mins behind me in a 2 hr downwind race and closing quickly.

Any Division will do but Masters or above preferred.

Anyone ??? PM if you like.

Cheers Rambo

are you a total wuss if you paddle a two man and draft off a one man?

I've been doing this lately, should I feel guilty?

Because the only thing I feel guilty about now is being a badass paddler.
