Looking for Assistant Coach(es)

Aloha all - this is a repost (based on a recommendation from Terry Galpin - mahalo).

Does anyone out there know of a good resource for locating coaches? I am with a small new club on Oahu and we are looking to increase our coaching staff - we were unable to find any additional coaches last season… As we are now preparing for the upcoming season the search is on again - any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Mahalo,

Waokele

Happy Birthday Jaimie

Have a great day

Who's the hottest of team bradley's women?

for me, I am across the other side of the world...

but I've recently been buying a decent amount of canoes from Hawaii to add to my collection..

I recently heard about the Molokai Hoe and the Na wahie o ke lai races. I've done some research (google) and I have found out that team bradley has some hot women on their team.

who's the hottest you ask?

I'd have to say that Lauren Bartlett is the hottest...

NO OFFENSE TO HER HUSBAND!!( HE LOOKS LIKE HE COULD DISH OUT SOME ASS WOOPIN, NOT WHAT I WANT) just want to see what people think...

what do you think??

lost Pueo

A Pueo was lost at Hawaiian Outrigger Canoe Club/ Windward Kai Canoe Club. Someone was returning the demo to us, and through miscommunication accidently dropped it off there last night at 5:30. I didn't find out until this morning that it was dropped off there, so i went to check at 7:45am and it wasn't there. I'm hoping that maybe someone picked it up for safe keeping....

If anyone knows anything about the canoe, or sees the canoe, could you give us a call at 228-8609.

It's yellow and blue with ugly purple flames on the front.

Thanks a lot---

Paddling for Pounds

I would like to throw out a challenge to the paddling community, specifically Hawaii, although anybody who wants to play along is welcome.
A little background---Here on Maui, a paddler named Peter Konohia began an event on Thanksgiving Day 8 years ago to accomplish 2 goals. One, to get a workout, and two to generate food donations for the less fortunate. This is done each Thanksgiving morning with a "race" with the "winner" is the one who guesses closest to his finishing time.Entry "fee" is canned goods.("Race" is approx. 3-4 miles)The true winners are the recipients of the donated food.
Which brings me to the challenge---This year the recipient of the donated food is the Maui Food Bank. I would like to challenge each Island's paddling community to raise as much food as possible for their respective counties foodbank by Dec. 1. There was a thread that spoke about sponsorship/fundraising and this could be a way to demonstrate the power of the paddling community through a statewide collective effort. Any feedback? Questions? We could call this the "Paddlers for Pounds" effort!

Outlaw Open Ocean Racing Series. Australia.

From the humble beginnings of a few like minded rebels doing their own thing the Outlaw Open Ocean Racing Series was born.
One of these dedicated hard core paddlers, Wade Vautier, took it to the next level. He has created an International class downwind race in Victoria's famous surf coast. This inaugural event will feature Karel Tresnak Jnr and ski Champion Dean Gardiner.
Now the aussie dollar has gone down the gurglar (that's Australian for the dollar is not doing that well) a trip to Australia from the US is a cheap holiday.
If you are interested in coming to our Outlaw race you could go to Wade's website at outriggerclothing.com.au and follow the links. We would love to have some more internationals come and enjoy our beautiful coastline.

I have sold everything not nailed down so I can go to the Kaua'i World Challenge next year so it will be a big New Year for me.

It's nice to be an Outlaw...............

Kaua'i World Challenge.

The 2009 Kaua'i World Challenge OC1/OC2, Ski relay race is on 11th April. The Clarkie family is booked in and counting down the months to our first Hawaii experience.

Share a little aloha....

for any Team Hawaii/Team Kamanu Oiwi crew member:
this is a special request from those of us who are still on the "Dreaming stage" to race Hawaiki Nui Va'a:
could you be so kind to share your experience regarding this race?

Mahalo nui loa!
