Interested in photos of the race from the Makapu'u cliffs? Check them out at pekelo.smugmug.com ( Sports galleries and Duke 2010).

Respect for Hawaii names please

Lili'u'okalani. Kamehameha. Ka'ahumanu. Kalani'ana'ole.
Seeing/hearing too much, "Queen Lili Race, King Kam Hotel, Queen K Highway, Kal Highway..."
I'm not an expert nor a native speaker. Just tired of hearing place names and names of Ali'i said incorrectly.
But hey- if you are a good friend of the family, by all means call them by their nicknames.

Sprint Kayak

Hey everyone,

My name is Morgan House. I am on the National Team for Sprint Kayaking.

I am new to this forum but I wanted to let everyone know about a newsletter my fiancé, Emily Vinson, and I started called The Paddler's Perspective. The goal of this newsletter is to highlight the stories of young USA paddlers. Young or old, every paddler has a story of why they started and what inspires them to keep going! I want to shed a little light on the sport of sprint kayaking and hopefully get other interested in it as well! Check it out, sign up, and spread the word!

Duke Race

I heard that the finish will be outside of Kaimana because the coast guard wont let the finish happen in Waikiki...Any truth to that rumor?

Looking for a canoe for the Pailolo Challenge

We are a group of wahine who would like to paddle the Pailolo Challenge. Unfortunately, our club is using all of our racing canoes for the Henry Ayau men's race on Sept 19th. Are there any Maui clubs who would like for us to paddle their canoe to Molokai so you can have it there for Na Wahine the next weekend? It'll save you guys some $$$ on shipping costs. We are experienced distance paddlers so your equipment will be in good hands. Please email me at JessicaGraham1@mac.com

LOST PADDLE OUTSIDE WAIKIKI

Looking for glittery red Kialoa paddle, white Moku Nui sticker. Please call Cory at 277-5156.

Got V3?

Aloha everyone

What if a certain canoe builder decided to build a 3-man polynesian style (V3)?

Is there anyone out there that wants to lose there mind having fun in this 3-man?

If you are reading this thinking "yes please" and you have a couple grand to lose, then please reply to this post with your pre-orders.

details will ensue shortly

PLEASE do not take this as a joke ok...just ask yourself who will be having the last laugh in the Pailolo after a 2 hour sleigh ride in a 35 foot, 60 lb, 3-man that surfs like it was stolen. Just Imagine how you'll go delirious with joy.
