Scorpius XM pad

Does anyone know what type of pad is available to put under the bungee cords on the front of the Scorpius XM? I've seen some pics of some folks who have a black pad but mine didn't come with one.

Outrigger Connection FUZE for sale $2200

Aloha fellow paddlers. I'm selling my OC FUZE. This is a great boat in great condition. Red on top, white on the bottom. One minor ding on the ama that's been repaired and is hardly even noticeable. I've owned it for 1.5 years, and bought it less than year old from a teammate. Their website says it's ideal for 150lbs - 170lbs, but has worked great for fellow paddlers up to 190. Unfortunately I've exceeded that by a few pounds now... If you've paddled a FUZE before you know how much fun these boats are, especially in the bump. The bigger the better!

Carbon fiber blade repair

Aloha all,

I am all about reducing, reusing, (repairing), and recycling. With that said...

I couldn't find a thread about repairing a carbon fiber blade (for an older kialoa) so I made this one. I wanted to ask the community about different methods for fixing damage to the edge of the carbon fiber blade. I have attached an image of the damage to my paddle.

Kaolele Reviews or Feedback?

Has anybody got any feedback on this canoe yet? Anybody paddled it? Seen it?

All I can find is the video of John Foti. Any more info?

OC1 paddle length

Good afternoon
I'm wondering if there's a general consensus on the length of paddle people use to oc1 compared to oc6. I paddle oc6 using a 51 inch paddle. From the small number of people I've talked to, it seems that people go with 1-3 inches shorter when paddling oc1. Does anyone have a rule of thumb? thoughts on the matter?

2 Questions about the Hurricane

Aloha, bought a slightly used Hurricane 3 years back, it was in amazing condition. However my left leg goes to sleep when I paddle it. Coach tells me its a balance issue. Other guys tell me to get an after market seat.

My second question is that when I catch bumps or try to surf it, As soon as Im on the wave the nose buries under the water and the boat drags. Paddlers have told me that the it could be the boat, or maybe Im too big for a Hurricane. Im 6'2 and 195 lbs.

Scorpius XM seat

I just picked up a Scorpius XM and am trying to adjust to the seat. I'm a shorter paddler (5'4") so I'm having to place the seat as far forward as possible but i'm still not sitting "in" the seat. I'm sitting more on the front of the seat and my calves are resting on the front of the foam (front end of the rectangular cut out).

I'm used to having a little bend in the knees and wondered if anyone had recs to help where I sit on the seat. Anyone who has an XM that has the same issues?

OC 1 paddle

Hi guys, is the ZRE, all carbon paddle, a good paddle, for long distance in Hawaiian waters, wind an all. If not which do you recommend?

OC-1 recommendations for larger paddler

I am looking for recommendations for an OC-1 for Southern California for a larger paddler (6’3”, 210). The emphasis is for speed and good in So Cal bumps.

I read the forum on this topic, posted 2 years ago: (Scorpius XM, The Pueo, or Osprey???) http://www.ocpaddler.com/forum/2009/scorpius_xm_pueo_or_osprey

The general consensus seemed to be, go with the Pueo or the XM.

Do you think this forum is still topical, or have there been developments over the last 2 years that are game changers?

Thanks!
