Kia Kaha Paddles vs Kialoa Axel II

Has anyone tried or currently using a Kia Kaha Paddle? http://www.kiakahacanoesandpaddles.com/

Any feedback? How does it compare to Kialoa AxelI,

I have been using a Kialoa Axel II hybrid blade and I do not like the feel of the Axel compared to my all wood 98' Kialoa Wiley Coyote.

I am in the market foir a new blade, and since it is nearly impossible to order a Makana Ali'i , one of my team mates reccomended trying a Kia Kaha..

Any feedback or opinions would be helpful.

Vantage Canoe Help Please

I am about to purchase a used Vantage, it has a yellow top, he says it's about 6-7 years old. I've been on a 6 man team for a few seasons, but this will be my first OC1 purchase. Size is right for me.

Does anyone know if they were made here or overseas then? Is it a good boat to buy?
He claims it was made on Big Island by Papu here's links to the photos...

Makana Alii Repair (epoxy or varnish or both)

I'm wondering if anyone knows if the Makana Alli paddles are coated with varnish or an epoxy? I need to do some repair to my paddle which will include some fiber glass cloth -- the bottom edge has a split in the wood.

I recoated a previous paddle, that was flaking with Epifanes varnish and it came out so beautiful (about 3 coats). I guess I'm just wondering if you can mix the epifanes and the epoxy? I'm assuming I have to use epoxy for the glass job. But, I also need to refinish the shaft and was thinking to use the varnish.

Anyone have experience or ideas?

Clipper Advantage OC6

I did a topic search on here and didn't find any information on the Clipper Advantage OC6, but I'd like learn anything I can about this craft. I believe they're build in British Columbia, Canada. I've read the manufacturer's website, but I'd like some independent input.

Anyone know anything about the Clipper Advantage OC6?

Want To Trade Custom Website for Quality OC1

Aloha,
Anyone have a nice OC1 Outrigger 1 Man Canoe for sale, or has a dealership that sells them wants to trade for a full website?

The details can be worked out to ensure it's a win-win situation.
I am a member of the Anuenue club in Waikiki, and I really, really want a 1 man. Something good quality, doesn't have to be brand new, of course I would prefer Hawaiian made, like a Pueo or a Pegasus, but am open to something that will work for us both. I'm 5'9", 165 LBS just to weed out anything made for a man much larger than me.

Tahitian V1's on way to Hawaii/USA

After months of waiting the order for Fai3 and Are V1's and V3's has finally been placed. There are currently 13 V1's and V3's order for Hawaii, Seattle, San Francisco. The production will begin in early April and they will arrive to Oahu in August. I will be coming to Oahu to unload the container and spend about a week there paddling with some of the other recipients of their new Tahitian designed and built V1. During that time you will be able to demo my carbon V3 before I ship it to maui.
