Anyone used a spray skirt on an Aukahi before?

Does anybody know anything more about CX surfski .I see this dude Mike won Kalakukea Race yesterday and one of the fotis bros won short course at Kanaka Ikaika on it.I'm about to drop the big bucks for my daughters desire to get a Epic and I feel this may be as good and less money.Any help is appreciated .

i am building an oc1 and i am getting ready to make my iakos. on average how far away should the ama be away from the boat, i know ferther away makes it more stable and im planing on making the distance adjustable. im just not sure of the best distance for peak performance. also where should the bottom of the ama be in relation to the bottom of the boat i am also planning on making the ride heigth adjustable for different conditions, i just need a general idea of where it should be. aloha

I need some advice on the best rudder for flatwater paddling in an outrigger canoe (oc1 or oc2). When I am talking flatwater, I am talking no bumps at all too, like on a calm lake with no waves. The primary purpose of what I am looking for is SPEED. All help on this is greatly appreciated.

I need a huge canoe, I am 6'5", and i need 46 inches from the base of the footwells to the back of the seat,
currently I paddle on a borrowed older fusion. With a home-made custom seat, It fits me perfectly, super comfortable enough volume to support my extra pounds.

I want to buy an new scorpius, but when I tried to sit in a friends XM, the cockpit was about 3-4 inches too short even with a seat pushed all the way back. Is there a canoe out there for me, does the Scorpius offer enough room to the footwells, or is there anyone in CA that wants to sell me their old fusion?

I have a 51.5" double bend paddle but didn't think too much about the result if i cut it down to 49.5" or 50". My question is are all double bend paddles made with the same template and the handle position changes or is the middle 'straight' section shorter for shorter blades?
