I need truck racks for my Oc-1. I keep hearing about "Bobbie" from hawaii kai but i don't have a contact #. Would someone be able to PM his info or anyone else they know who builds truck racks. Mahalo!

I'm just getting to the point in my solo paddling when this is a question:

For a paddler with good balance on a Hurricane OC1, which is faster?
1. Setting ama and iakos at 3 all around to make it easier to fly the ama while paddling (hull on an even keel w/ ama flying)
2. Setting ama and iakos at 1's or 2's for a narrower, lighter, faster rig all the way around (though hull would be "past even" with the ama up, making it tough to fly it while paddling)

Thoughts?

we have a problem to fix the front-iako in the hull, although we have drawn the screws hard, nevertheless the iakos dissolve. It couold be verry unpleasantly... Have somebody also this problem or know about it?

Hi yall, I won a nice Outrigger Sailing Canoe in a $5 dollar charity raffle. I was told for the longest time it was a catamaran, in other words I am completely new to all of this. Seeing how I have no idea how to sail it, I was hoping for advice. I am also curious as to how much one of these is worth. I would prefer to keep it and sail it if I can manage, so your tips and help would be greatly appreciated.

I am new to OC1 and currently looking at a few Canoes. I have tried the Scorpius and the Polaris so far but saw a fusion on the beach today and noticed how much room it had. I was not able to try it out.
Just wandering if anyone out there could give me there opinion of how the Fusion may compares to the Scorpius or Polaris. I found the Scorpius and Polaris had nice volume for me but a little short for my legs.
I weigh about 240 and I am 6'6" tall.

I think this is my first post to the forums, so take it easy on me. I've been paddling for a few years now, and ike everyone else, I'm just trying to get better. I've been paddling a Kaimana for the last year now and have spent a good amount of time tinkering with the rear iako setting. I've gone from all the way in to questionably in and cant seem to figure out what's best.

Anyone have any insight to offer on the depth at which to insert the rear iako into the ama?

Also, has anyone tried to modify the iakos to bring the ama in closer?

As OC1 canoes have increased in their popularity and manufactures are making more hulls specific to paddler size / weight as well as ride conditions has anyone noted benefits in various types of water itself.
